The role

Travelopia IT seeks a SQL Product Engineer motivated to build a successful career aligning with organization goals.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
• Ensure performance, security and availability of databases
• Maintain documentation
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery and migration
• Profile server resource usage and optimize as necessary
• Diagnose complex environment and application issues
• Work closely with developers and application support engineers
• You will be part of a team that builds and operates applications from feature Design, Development, Deployments to Operations

What we are looking for:

Technical skills:

• Programming fundamentals with experience of NET.
• Excellent experience in writing and optimizing SQL statements
• Excellent experience in a SQL DBA role
• Understanding standard methodologies for working with relational databases
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage
• Proficient understanding of Git
• Strong understanding of AWS
• Experience of CDC implementations
• The person should have a good grounding and hands-on experience SQL server management and can demonstrate the ability to diagnose complex issues.
• Effective verbal, written, and e-mail communication skills, including preparing documentation and specifications. Experience collaborating with international collaborators is a plus.

Minimum education/experience

• 8+ years of experience in a similar role
