Product Manager III, Air Experiences

 

Introduction to the team 

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company.  

 

The Air Experiences Product team owns the traveler experience for searching, shopping, and buying air travel across all Expedia brands. Our team embraces a bold, customer-centric approach and the technical and analytical know-how needed to deliver results. 

 

In this role you will develop, prioritize, and deliver a portfolio of features and tests to improve the search and discovery experience for millions of travelers all around the world. As a part of the team, you will work with local and global teammates to build a delightful product, develop a compelling strategy, and drive business outcomes. Most importantly, you are a creative problem solver with an eye for detail and a keen focus on results. This role will partner with our pricing team to ensure travelers feel like Expedia is the best place to get great value for their money.  

 

In this role, you will:

  • Use data to drive decisions by understanding key performance metrics, identifying anomalies, diagnosing root causes, and forecasting the impact of new features. 

  • Apply customer empathy and design thinking to synthesize insights, anticipate user reactions, and shape product solutions and priorities. 

  • Lead product development efforts by guiding cross-functional teams, defining product requirements, and testing features to meet business goals. 

  • Communicate and influence effectively by crafting audience-specific messages, supporting team communication, and sharing insights across teams. 

  • Think in systems by collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate solutions, map their impacts, and measure outcomes across business and customer touchpoints. 

  • Focus on pricing levers to demonstrate the value of booking through Expedia. 


?Experience and qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent experience. 

  • You have 6 years of proven experience as a product manager, ideally in a data-driven, agile environment. 

  • You have a strong understanding of product fundamentals: agile practices, experimentation, data science, and business acumen. 

  • You are skilled in synthesizing customer insights and translating them into product strategy. 

  • You are comfortable leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across disciplines. 

  • You are able to serve as a subject matter expert on owned features and technologies. 

 


 





The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.


Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
