Job Description
Reporting to the In Room Dining Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Collect in-house guest and arrival lists for the day
Record any mini-bar items used to ensure accuracy in billing
Ensure in room service-ware items are clean and as per standards
Restock all mini-bar items in fridge prior to guests’ arrival and during their stay
Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Other duties as assigned
General Responsibilities Include:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of:
All items stocked in Mini Bars.
Strictly abide by state liquor regulations.
Service’s and facilities (i.e., hours of operation, menus, price range).
Cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas; rectify any deficiencies.
P.O.S. and/or manual systems if needed.
Generate and distribute charges for Mini Bar use in each guestroom.
Inventory and requisition stock for carts.
Process designated paperwork.
Maintain security of designated keys.
Complete opening side work:
Check quality/dates of all stock and supplies by using checklist.
Complete opening inventory sheet.
Requisition all necessary supplies.
Transport supplies from Storeroom to work areas.
Enter guestrooms and inventory Mini Bar
Replenish items in guestroom Mini Bars and complete consumption reports as needed.
Input reports into P.O.S. system (if applicable).Legibly document orders when system is down.
Clean and restock service cart.
Ensure maximum usage of all supplies to attain budgeted cost and to prevent waste.
Complete closing side work:
Securely store all beverages and supplies.
Complete closing inventory and requisition.
Complete all closing reports in P.O.S. system (if applicable).

Qualifications

In Room Dining Department operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, candidates must have flexibility/availability to work varying shifts.
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramp
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma and previous Food and Beverage experience in a fast paced, luxury hospitality setting required
