Our tailored AS400-based reservation platform, Triton, is key to Yachts Charter operations. We want to hire a Triton Developer who will improve and maintain this important system alongside iSeries developers in the Marine IT Delivery team. This role covers the full software creation process cycle.

What You’ll Do:

• System Performance & Architecture: Suggest improvements to Triton’s performance and suitability. Drive iSeries integration architecture using APIs in line with Travelopia’s strategy.
• Development Perfection & Automation: Automate manual processes to reduce support workload. Produce high-quality designs and code for sophisticated systems!
• End-to-End SDLC Ownership: Ensure an efficient, fit-for-purpose software development lifecycle. Provide accurate estimates, handle delivery timelines, and sign off technical solutions.
• Requirements, Design & Documentation: Collaborate with business and BAs to collect requirements and produce clear design documentation. Create system documentation to support maintenance and operations.
• Technical Support & Issue Resolution: Address iSeries support issues within agreed timeframes, including on-call support. Identify and resolve technical and functional errors proactively.
• Research, Innovation & Best Practices: Stay updated on emerging iSeries and IT technologies. Recommend improvements to improve performance, customer experience, and conversion.
• Partnership, Communication & Customer Engagement: Work closely with cross-departmental groups, business partners, and third parties. Provide project updates, demos, and maintain strong professional relationships.

What You’ll Bring:

• Core Technical Proficiency: Validated experience with RPG IV, RPG Free, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL, and IBM i systems, along with hands-on exposure to PDM, X-Analysis, DB2/400, Journaling, Query/400, Robot, and ACOM!
• Software Development & Architecture: Skilled in designing and developing APIs and enterprise-level applications, with experience across .NET, JavaScript, PHP, and integrated development environments!
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Strengths: Highly logical problem solver with strong analytical abilities and a proven record of resolving sophisticated technical issues and optimizing systems!
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with effective teamwork across teams and the ability to work independently when needed
• Delivery & Execution Excellence: Ability to prioritize and implement tasks under critical timelines with a strong focus on delivery
• Agile Experience & Certifications: Hands-on Agile development experience across both project and support environments
