Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Public Area Supervisor to join our team in the beautiful coastal city of Umluj, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of all public areas within our hotel, creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Oversee and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, and recreational facilities
Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and hotel policies
Train and mentor public area attendants, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques and guest interaction
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times
Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or special cleaning requirements
Participate in daily briefings and department meetings to stay informed of hotel events and guest needs
Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and concerns related to public areas
Implement and maintain health and safety protocols in all public spaces
Prepare and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inspections, and incident reports
Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures for public area maintenance
Support the Executive Housekeeper in achieving departmental goals and maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

Diploma or certification in hotel management or a related field
Minimum of 1 year's experience in a supervisory capacity within a luxury hotel or resort housekeeping environment
Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills
Meticulous eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera) is preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions
Physical stamina to perform regular inspections and occasional hands-on tasks
In-depth knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment
Familiarity with local health and safety regulations
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Strong customer service orientation with a professional and courteous demeanor
Fluency in English (verbal & written) is essential; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is advantageous
Knowledge of local customs and cultural sensitivities in Saudi Arabia
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proven track record of training and coaching team members effectively

Additional Information

Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages.
Experience in pre-Opening is a must.
A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
