Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the culinary mastermind of our establishment, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, managing kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Develop and implement creative, seasonally-inspired menus that showcase both local Indonesian flavors and international culinary trends
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and inventory management
Manage and mentor a diverse team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation
Collaborate with the management team to optimize food costs, labor efficiency, and overall profitability
Engage with guests to gather feedback and continuously enhance the dining experience
Partner with local suppliers to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients
Participate in marketing initiatives and special events to promote the restaurant's culinary offerings
Stay current with culinary trends and techniques to maintain the restaurant's competitive edge

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel
Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification
Demonstrated expertise in Indonesian cuisine and international culinary techniques
Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage food costs and labor budgets effectively
Expert knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Creative and detail-oriented approach to menu development and food presentation
Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office suite
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Proven track record of innovation and ability to stay ahead of culinary trends
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
