As a Business Development Manager – Government, you will develop and manage government-related business to drive room nights and revenue. You will build and maintain strong relationships with local and federal government entities, semi-government organizations, and embassies. And you will ensure all commercial activities align with government protocols, compliance requirements, and the hotel’s luxury brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and manage government, semi-government, and embassy accounts to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key government decision-makers and procurement departments.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements in line with government tender requirements and hotel policies.
- Monitor government business performance, market trends, and competitor activity within the UAE.
- Prepare sales reports, forecast, and represent the hotel at government meetings, forums, and official events.
About You:
- Strong understanding of UAE government structures, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage contracts, tenders, and long-term government agreements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a professional and diplomatic approach.
- Analytical and strategic thinking ability to identify growth opportunities within the government segment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with government entities.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Sales, Revenue Management, or Marketing are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
