Based full-time, onsite in Arusha, you’ll be a key partner to our General Manager and Finance Manager, keeping day-to-day country operations running smoothly and our trips operating safely, compliantly and profitably. From Kilimanjaro treks to safaris and complex group itineraries, you’ll be at the heart of our Tanzania operation - owning the detail, supporting teams, and making sure every trip delivers on the Intrepid promise.
This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who understands the realities of ground logistics in Tanzania, is comfortable making decisions, and enjoys being the person others rely on to make things work.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
Strong experience in tours and travel operations in Tanzania, including Kilimanjaro trekking and safari operations
Proven experience managing day-to-day ground operations and complex group logistics
People management experience, supporting and guiding operational teams
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tourism regulations, park authority requirements and compliance
Confident communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Practical working knowledge of operational systems and tools, including Excel and Word
