Mantra Portsea is located in the heart of Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland, one-hour drive north of Cairns CBD. The property comprises one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, lagoon style pool with pool bar and onsite breakfast room. Port Douglas offers amazing experiences for you to enjoy in your downtime. Snorkel alongside turtles at The Great Barrier Reef, ground yourself, breathing in the fresh air of the rainforests, and indulge in the history of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander heritage.


Purpose

As the Gardener, your role will involve nurturing and maintaining our outdoor spaces to ensure that gardens, lawns, and landscapes remain vibrant and visually appealing. Your expertise is essential in preserving their health and aesthetic appeal.

Base rate of $30.93ph from Monday - Friday!

Saturday $38.66ph, and Sunday $46.39ph!

Primary Responsibilities
Cultivate and nurture the lush beauty of the gardens and communal spaces
Establish and execute procedures aimed at boosting the effectiveness of garden and grounds maintenance while maintaining cost-effectiveness and high standards
Work within a vibrant team of diverse talents, that thrives on cooperation and independence in equal measure
Deliver warm and enthusiastic service to both our valued external and internal guests


Skills and Experience
Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Proven experience as a gardener or in a related role
Knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and garden tools
Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays
