We are looking to hire a Private Groups Sales Consultant who is primarily responsible for driving quality sales volume while creating and growing relationships with the Travel Advisor community. Reporting to our Director of Private Group Travel.
This role is working a flexible hybrid pattern, 40 hours a week, in our Travelopia head office in Escazú.

What you’ll do:
- Answer inbound call and e-lead inquiries for groups of 15+ travelers.
- Discover needs of client through consultative sales approach.
- Create bespoke European destination itineraries to include arrangements for air, hotels, sightseeing and ground transportation.
- Manage personal sales pipeline to ensure monthly sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Educate Travel Agent Partners about Europe Express products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Provide multi-tiered pricing itineraries based upon passenger totals.
- Nurture warm leads generated by Outside Sales Team.
- Maintain current knowledge of all product offerings.
What you’ll bring:
- European destination or European travel knowledge required.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding inside sales goals required.
- Demonstrated customer service and time management skills required.
- Background in a consultative sales environment required.
- Experience with business-to-business sales and relationship/account management building skills preferred.
- Experience as a group travel advisor, independent consultant or tour operator sales experience preferred.
- Call center experience preferred.
- Experience with web-based computer systems preferred.
- Knowledge of airline reservation GDS systems desired (Amadeus preferred).
- Knowledge of Hubspot is a plus.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel.
