Job Description

Golf - Retail Associate

As a Golf - Retail Associate at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be an ambassador for our on-site championship golf course and the exceptional service that our colleagues offer. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable experience for guests of our golf course, making them feel welcome and valued.

Starting Rate of Pay: $21.60 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.95.

Job Duties Include:

​​​Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques, expert product knowledge and inventory controls
Coordinate golf course registration
Ensure the Golf Shop is professionally merchandised at all times
Assist the Event & Tournament Coordinator in the execution of golf events
Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
Ensure seamless guest movement from the shuttle arrival through the Golf Shop to the cart staging area

Qualifications

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license with a clean record is required
Previous customer service and/or retail experience is required
Previous golf course experience an asset, but not required
Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (specifically, Word and Excel)
