JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for reviewing and posting all program related expenses including air, hotel, food & beverage, A/V, and other third-party expenses. In addition, the Project Accountant works closely with Directors, Project Managers and Compliance Specialists to review and verify program expenses to ensure all programs are properly reconciled and code compliant, providing oversight for transparency reporting.
Core Responsibilities:
Reconcile and verify hotel bills, F&B, air and other supplier invoices for accuracy by comparing
information to contractual terms and negotiated items
Review receipts with special attention to assuring all financial activity follows guidelines for ToV reporting by completing ToV F&B worksheet and affixing template to receipt for proper allocation
Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers and clients
Adhere to all standard operating procedures and train staff on appropriate company billing policies and guidelines
Verify W-9s and manage vendor accounts and files
Oversee and complete credit card reconciliation
Responsible for organization and maintenance of files on shared drive
Ensure timely and accurate Savings Analysis
Education/knowledge/experience
Previous Life Sciences experience is required
Previous accounting experience in A/P, A/R, and billing
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of accounting basics and revenue financial analysis
Capability of problem solving- anticipating, initiating and resolving program issues
Strong written and verbal skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal management
Ability to work independently and meet numerous deadlines
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous projects
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to respond to constant change from one program to another

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%
We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Project Accountant is between $50,000 - $60,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
