Job Title: MEDIA MANAGER
Company: Exodus Travels
Location: Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, Greater London, United Kingdom
Job Type: Permanent
At Exodus, we love adventure travel and always have. We first took a group of travellers to the Himalayas 50 years ago and have since expanded to every continent of the planet. Today, we offer hundreds of itineraries across the globe, focusing on responsible travel that supports local communities and preserves the environment while aiming to provide meaningful experiences to all who travel with us.
We are looking to hire a Media Manager to lead media planning and optimisation in support of new customer acquisition. Reporting to the Head of Acquisition, you will own the full funnel media strategy across digital and offline channels, ensuring media investment delivers measurable growth.
This role has a strong digital focus, particularly across Paid Social and Programmatic channels including Meta, YouTube and DV360, turning media investment into measurable growth in traffic, awareness and consideration. While media agencies will lead campaign build and trafficking, you will be expected to confidently interrogate platform setup, performance metrics and optimisation decisions to ensure activity is delivering against objectives.
In addition to digital channels, the role also encompasses print, CTV and audio, ensuring these are strategically integrated within a broader full funnel media plan.
This role does not focus on PPC or Search.
You will act as the key point of contact for media agencies in the UK and North America, aligning activity with regional acquisition priorities and leading all aspects of campaign delivery and performance accountability through agency partners.
This is a hybrid role, where you will collaborate with the team 2 days a week in our central Surbiton office.
What we’ll offer:
- 25 days annual leave plus birthday day off and bank holidays
- Contributory Pension Scheme
- Private Medical Insurance
- Health and Dental Plans
- Hybrid working
- Travel and retail discounts
What you’ll do:
- Lead full funnel media strategy with a strong digital bias
- Manage UK and North America media agency relationships and performance, leading all aspects of planning, buying, and reporting.
- Interrogate campaign setup and optimisation strategies delivered by agency partners, ensuring best-in-class standards across digital channels
- Implement and manage the affiliate marketing programme, driving incremental customer acquisition with clear performance accountability.
- Lead regular performance deep dives, identifying inefficiencies and reallocating budgets based on data-driven insight
- Allocate and optimise media budgets to maximise return on investment
- Track and report on media performance, translating data into clear commercial insight and actionable recommendations
- Oversee planning and integration of print, CTV and audio within the wider media mix
- Work closely with the Search Manager to align budgets, reporting and overall channel mix
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and agencies to ensure best-fit assets are produced and optimised per platform
- Guide the Media Executive on campaign delivery, trafficking and reporting
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in media planning and buying roles across brand or agency
- Strong working knowledge of Meta and Google Suite, with the ability to assess campaign structure, targeting logic, bidding strategies and creative effectiveness
- Experience managing agencies and driving performance improvements beyond surface-level reporting
- Cross-channel media campaign management experience spanning digital and ATL disciplines, with a strong bias towards measurement and data insight
- Proven track record of driving measurable customer acquisition and or revenue growth through optimisation
- Highly analytical, comfortable translating performance data into clear actions and commercial recommendations
- Experience with GA4, Looker Studio and platform analytics is desirable
- Confident collaborator, able to influence stakeholders and agency partners while staying close to performance detail
- A commercial and customer-centric approach, ensuring media activity delivers business impact
