Job Title: Camp Junior Manager
Location: Campsite
Our camp is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Camp Junior Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting the Camp Manager in overseeing all aspects of camp operations, management, and programming. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, with strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for outdoor education and youth development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the camp, including scheduling activities, coordinating staff assignments, and overseeing camper registration and check-in/check-out procedures
- Help develop and implement camp programming, including daily schedules, evening activities, and special events
- Supervise camp staff and provide guidance, support, and feedback as needed
- Maintain a safe and welcoming camp environment for campers and staff, while upholding all camp policies and procedures
- Serve as a point of contact for parents and campers, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in managing camp finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, and inventory management
- Collaborate with the Camp Manager and other team members to ensure the overall success of the camp season
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in education, recreation, or related field preferred
- Previous camp experience, including staff supervision, program development, and/or logistics coordination
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and provide references
