About Camp New Fork
Camp New Fork is a youth summer camp located in the beautiful mountains near Cora, Wyoming.
The camp provides outdoor adventure, skill-building, and personal growth opportunities for
campers each season. Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where
young people can connect with nature, grow confidence and character, and develop lifelong
friendships.
Position Overview
Junior Counselors (JCs) play a key support role in the camp community. This position is designed
for high school–aged individuals who are developing leadership skills with an interest in youth
mentorship. Junior Counselors assist senior staff and counselors in supervising campers, leading
activities, and maintaining a positive and organized camp environment.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience, develop teamwork skills, and

Key Responsibilities
● Assist senior counselors in supervising and engaging with campers in daily activities.
● Support campers with enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude.
● Help lead games, crafts, and camp programs under staff guidance.
● Participate in cabin life, meals, and camp routines.
● Assist with activity setup, cleanup, and general camp maintenance as needed.
● Act as a role model for campers by demonstrating respect, teamwork, and responsibility.
● Uphold all camp safety and behavior standards.
Qualifications
● Minimum age: 17 years old.
● Genuine interest in working with children and being part of a camp community.
● Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude.
● Willingness to take direction and work under supervision.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills.
● Ability to live on-site for the camp season.
● Previous camp or youth experience is helpful but not required.
● Must pass a background check.
● Must attend staff training prior to the camp season.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to participate in camp activities and remain active throughout the day.
● Comfortable living and working outdoors in a rustic environment.
