About Camp New Fork
Camp New Fork is a youth summer camp located in the beautiful mountains near Cora, Wyoming.
The camp provides outdoor adventure, skill-building, and personal growth opportunities for
campers each season. Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where
young people can connect with nature, grow confidence and character, and develop lifelong
friendships.


Position Overview
The Program Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading creative arts activities for
campers, staff and user groups of all ages and abilities. This role encourages creativity,
self-expression, and exploration through hands-on art projects in a positive, supportive setting.
Additionally, as a lead, this role is expected to support counseling staff by mentoring and
encouraging them through day to day activities (ie camp games and events).
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and passionate about helping kids discover their
creative side — all while maintaining a safe, engaging, and well-run program area.


Key Responsibilities
● Plan and lead a variety of daily arts and crafts projects (painting, tie-dye, beadwork, nature
crafts, etc.).
● Prepare and organize materials and supplies for all program sessions.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming program area.
● Encourage creativity and provide positive guidance to campers during projects.
● Adapt activities for different ages and skill levels.
● Manage supply inventory and make supply requests as needed.
● Work with other camp staff to integrate arts and crafts into special events, camp themes,
or all-camp activities.
● Uphold all camp safety and supervision standards.
● Inspire campers to take pride in their creativity and artistic accomplishments.
● Mentor, encourage and support all counseling staff.
● Flexibility to participate and lead other camp activities, such as camp games, events or
campfires.


Qualifications
● Minimum age: 18 years old.
● Prior experience teaching or leading arts and crafts preferred.
● Creative, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
● Strong organizational and communication skills.
● Ability to engage and encourage campers and counselors in a positive manner.
● Willingness to work in a collaborative camp environment.
● Ability to live and work on-site in a rustic, outdoor setting.
● Must pass a background check.
● Must attend staff training prior to the camp season.


Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
● Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a camp setting.
