About Camp New Fork
Camp New Fork is a youth summer camp located in the beautiful mountains near Cora, Wyoming.
The camp provides outdoor adventure, skill-building, and personal growth opportunities for
campers each season. Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where
young people can connect with nature, grow confidence and character, and develop lifelong
friendships.
Position Overview
Kitchen Support Staff play a vital role in keeping Camp New Fork’s food service running smoothly.
Working under the direction of the Head of Kitchen, this team helps prepare, serve, and clean up
meals for campers and staff, custom groups, and trip groups. The position offers an opportunity to
work in a fun, fast-paced environment while contributing to the camp’s mission of service and
community.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with the preparation of daily meals for campers and staff (typically three meals per
day plus snacks).
● Serve food efficiently and courteously during meal times.
● Wash dishes, clean kitchen and dining areas, and maintain high sanitation standards.
● Help with unloading and storing food and kitchen supplies.
● Support the Head of Kitchen and other team members in food prep and kitchen
organization.
● Follow all food safety and cleanliness guidelines.
● Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a friendly, team-oriented work environment.
● Assist with the preparation of meals and associated clean-up for additional user groups
including custom groups and WA trip groups.
Qualifications
● Minimum age: 16 years old.
● Previous kitchen or food service experience is helpful but not required.
● Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
● Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to cleanliness.
● Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings and weekends.
● Commitment to creating a positive camp experience for all.
● Ability to live on-site and participate in the camp community (room and board provided).
● Must pass a background check.
● Must attend staff training prior to the camp season.
Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
● Comfortable working in a warm kitchen environment and performing repetitive tasks.
