The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the preparation and execution of breakfast kitchen operations, delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences for our guests each morning. Working closely with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams, you will ensure breakfast service runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

As a hands-on team member, you will play an important role during busy morning breakfast service periods, supporting smooth kitchen operations and ensuring guests enjoy a positive start to their day.

Key Accountabilities

Prepare and execute breakfast menu items in line with hotel standards and service expectations
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of breakfast dishes with consistency and attention to detail
Ensure breakfast kitchen operations is completed efficiently prior to service commencement
Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards across all kitchen areas
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines as directed by senior chefs
Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimising food wastage
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Support the kitchen team during high-volume breakfast service periods to maintain workflow and guest satisfaction
Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused kitchen environment
Profile

Previous experience in a similar breakfast or hotel kitchen environment preferred
Strong understanding of breakfast preparation and service operations
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
Team-oriented with a positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
Good time management and organisational skills
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
Ability to reliably commence shifts as early as 5:00am
