Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Prepare, cook, and present cafeteria meals for all departments according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and quality standards
Set up, stock, replenish, and maintain food stations and serving lines during meal periods
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature control, health regulations, and hotel safety policies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, cafeteria areas, and storage spaces
Receive, label, store, rotate, and maintain inventory of food products and supplies while minimizing waste and assisting with ordering
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Provide professional, friendly, and proactive service while supporting fellow team members and assisting with additional assigned duties as needed
Any other tasks that may be assigned
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
Creative and passionate about food and customer service
Must be able to work any shift assigned, such as holidays, weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Able to work in a high-pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
Previous experience in the culinary field required
Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent an asset
Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Responsible for State & Federal Food Handlers certification (mandatory)
