We are looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join our team in Greece! Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our financial reporting and accounting processes. You will be responsible for supporting month-end close activities, statutory and tax reporting requirements, balance sheet reconciliations and audit processes, while ensuring compliance with local Greek regulations and Group reporting standards.
In this role, you'll work closely with both local and international stakeholders to support the delivery of timely and accurate financial information, drive continuous process improvements, and maintain a strong control environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to contribute to a growing global business while developing broad exposure across accounting, tax, compliance and financial reporting activities.

What you’ll do:
- Develop a strong understanding of the Group’s business model and accounting methodologies.
- Understand local reporting requirements in Greece and key differences from IFRS, including the reconciliation of local GAAP to IFRS reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with Greek tax regulations and reconciliation to the MyData platform.
- Prepare statutory and statistical reporting requirements (including Intrastat) and support Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings for the Greek entity.
- Support Group month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Manage accounts payable activities and related processes.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage and monitor CAPEX reporting and tracking.
- Support COSO controls and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate Group audit requirements and support external auditors.
- Manage local audit activities and ensure compliance with statutory reporting obligations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Financial Controller to identify and implement process improvements.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required.
What you’ll bring:
- Qualified accountant or equivalent experience in accounting, audit or tax
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Fluency in both Greek and English
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics AX experience is an advantage
