Job Title: African Big 5 Wildlife Conservation Volunteer Project
Company: African Impact
Location: Greater Kruger Area, South Africa
Job Type: Volunteer
Spend your days monitoring African wildlife.
Settle into the rhythm of the South African wilderness and spend your days tracking, monitoring, and protecting some of Africa’s most iconic species. This wildlife conservation volunteer project places you inside a protected reserve that hosts the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), and where conservation decisions depend on accurate research and active land management. The reserve sits within South Africa’s Greater Kruger region, one of the largest protected wildlife areas on the continent.
As a volunteer, you’ll spend extended time in the field, learning to read tracks, interpret animal behaviour, and see first-hand how research shapes reserve management. Not just incredible sightings, but a real understanding of what it takes to protect them.
